Le numéro de septembre 2010 était la dernière édition imprimée du MEMOZ.

Après deux ans d’édition papier durant la période estivale Montréalaise, le MEMOZ OSBL a décidé bien malgré lui d’arrêter ses activités.

FINI le gaspillage de papier, les heures de mise en page, les recherches de publicitaires pour la version papier, les deadlines que l’édition exige, les dépenses utiles et à la fois inutiles,… Ce sont des constatations du monde de l’édition et non pas une crise de rébellion.

Vous le saviez ?
Notre engagment numéro 1 était de diffuser gratuitement la programmation des lieux de notre ville tant aimée.
Nous avons constaté que l’édition de nos jours pour un Organisme sans but lucratif comme MEMOZ, avec nos idéaux (écologiques et engagés), nos envies et notre réalité (des pubs plus que pas chères afin que tout le monde puisse en faire, pas de subventions pour nous aider à date…) ça ne fonctionnera pas bien longtemps encore !

Mettons donc PLUS d’énergie ailleurs. Mais en gardant en mémoire cette belle aventure partagée avec vous et vous et vous.

Finally the printed issue of August was reduced at 32 pages for estival, economic, and ecological reasons. We will get back to the 64 pages improved format next month!

This month and exceptionnally, MEMOZ comes out later than expected with a double cover. Friendly reader, as you may already know, publishing a free monthly magazine is a bumpy ride. In the printing business as elsewehere, sometimes shit happens.

When the shit hit the fan, the MEMOZ team with support from its printer chose to get the best out of the situation without compromising its founding principles. We thus dared to avoid any waste.

Compensatory bonus: if you find other mistakes in this game of “find the mistakes”, you’ll win the privilege of getting free hugs from the mama Moza on july 28th at the Quai des Brumes.
